Quite a few portraits are contained in this gallery. Including one of myself, my friend Rags, and a surprise celebrity. I remember when I worked at valspar, one of my workers came over to my apartment and was looking at my pictures. When he got to this one, he asked, "Who is that?" I said it was my uncle, then he said, "Your uncle looks alot like ..." scroll down to the bottom to find out who.

#057 Adela and Manuel Fuentes
I created this one as a birthday present for my Mother. She had tears in her eyes the first time she saw it. Is is of her parents, and was created from two separate photographs. My grandmother passed away when I was very young, and my grandfather passed away before I was born.

#058 Stephen Kirscher
I made this one as a birthday present for my nephew Stephen. He graduated from Carl Sandburg H.S. in May 2001 and is now a freshman attending DeVry.

#059 Two Hands Clapping
I made this one from yet another drawing I created with my computer drafting program. This would be a good one for a laser engraver because there were too many like too close together for me to do them accurately by hand. When I started it, it didn't have a name, but when I was done, I thought it looked like a bird's eye view of two hands clapping.

#060 Last Supper (da Vinci)
This piece is a second reproduction of Leonardo daVinci's last supper. I made this one because several people said it would be nice to have it without the color. I prefer this one to the color one since I think I did a more realistic job, but my mother said she likes the color version better. This piece is about 2.5 ft wide.

#061 Alex & Tess Steplyk
One of my coworkers in Abbott is Max Steplyk. He was very impressed when I showed him the pyrograph of my grandparents along with the source images. A few days later, he commissioned one on behalf of his brother. I learned that it is more difficult to woodburn blondes than brunettes for sure.

#062 Go Out and Shout the Good News
I made this one to appease my daughter. She created this drawing sometime around May 2000, and we had it hung on the door of my bedroom. One day, Daniel was trying to take it down, and he ripped it in half. Jackie was hysterical because it was ruined, so I decided to burn it for her. Jackie was the one who burned the eyes, and came up with the name.

#062 Ed, Phil, & Rags
I made a mistake numbering this one. I had taken a few months off from woodburning since it was winter and I do most of my blank construction outside. When I got back to it, I didn't realize that I had neglected to scan "Go Out and Shout the Good News." When I was determining the number of this one, the last number I had was 061 from Alex & Tess. Ooops.

This one was made from a picture that was taken with Phil Donohue posing with my friend Rags and I during our spring break 1990. The photo was taken March 06, 1990 and we were both in our senior year at Purdue visiting our mutual ex-roommate Bill Faulkner.
